TEMO was founded in the United States in 1971 by Italian immigrant Giovanni Vitale. The name itself represented Vitale's attitude: Trust, Enthusiasm, Motivation and Opportunity. The company began by constructing aluminum skirting for homes, then moved on to the creation of sunrooms made from single-skin aluminum walls built under aluminum carports.
TEMO grew rapidly, until in 1981 they decided to focus solely on the sunrooms of creating sunrooms with the most sophisticated designs and material available. 25 years later they are still going strong.
The roof is perhaps the most important part of a sunroom. If it leaks during rainstorms, or after it has a foot of snow sitting on top of it for a few days, that is no good. TEO uses the best material and the best designs to ensure that the roof performs its function at all times. Roofs must not only be able to withstand the pressure of snow and high winds, but also must be insulated. Integrated gutters and a leaf guard are also a pluus
Windows and doors are designed to be weather tight, and of course they also provide excellent strength and insulation. A "weep" system that keeps water away from the structure, and the polymer coating used on the walls blocks out harmful UV rays to prevent fading. This coating comes with a lifetime warranty. The windows themselves come with secure locks to insure your security.
TEMO products come with more important features, of course. The windows have screens, and screens must be stretch-resistant, removable, and self-healing. In addition to the security of the windows, they also have a dirt-resistance treatment on the exterior. That will save cleaning time!
The cost of a TEMO sunroom varies from approximately ,000 to over ,000, depending on the size of the room, its style and various features, and foundation needs. But TEMO-authorized dealers offers low interest rates, attractive refinancing options and special incentive and financing packages.
TEMO has one of the most attractive warranties in the sunroom industry: their aluminium frames are warranted not to blister, pit or peel under normal use and service. Window hardware and weather stripping are warranted to be free from defects and under normal use will not fail. Their roof panels and polymer wall panels are warranted to be free from defects and under normal use and building practices will not delaminate. (That's an important phrase, "Normal use.")
This warranty is a lifetime warranty, and very important - it is transferable, should you ever decide to sell your house.
